Grand Art Deco Residence - Launceston

This imposing dark red brick home in Launceston is one of the cities largest Art Deco homes. The curves are juxtaposed with straight lines and the details throughout the building are stunning, including curved etched glass with beach themes.

  1. Launceston has some great homes!!! And gorgeous gardens as well.

It doesn't look remotely beachy, does it? This Launceston home looks substantial, permanent and dignified. My idea of beachy is temporary, flimsy and unkempt

  2. Thanks for your comments. Launceston is an inland city, nowhere near the beach:)

  3. I've always liked that house. Whoever made those red bricks in Lonny must have made a fortune in the 20s-30s.
